Volunteer with Manx Scouts

Every young person deserves the chance to experience Scouting. That's only possible because of incredible volunteers like you. Whether you have an hour a week or a whole weekend, there's a role for you.

All volunteers receive a free DBS check, full training through the Scouts' national programme, and ongoing support from our experienced team.

Volunteer Roles

Find your perfect role

Section Leader

Lead weekly meetings for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts or Explorers. Plan activities, run badge work and help young people grow.

2–3 hrs/week

Assistant Leader

Support a section leader with activities, camps and adventures. Great for those new to volunteering or with limited time.

1–2 hrs/week

Skills Volunteer

Share a skill — first aid, cooking, climbing, music, coding — as a one-off or occasional session. No long-term commitment required.

Ad hoc

Group Support

Help behind the scenes with administration, fundraising, event organisation or maintaining equipment and facilities.

Squirrels Update

We are currently receiving a high number of enquiries about Squirrels.

Unfortunately, there are no active Squirrel sections within Scouts on the Isle of Man at present. There is currently no confirmed timeframe for the introduction of Squirrels.
